Meet Sarah
Credentialed Conference Interpreter and Published Translator
My name is Sarah and I am a professional conference interpreter based in Turin, Italy.
Background and Education - I graduated from SSLMIT - University of Trieste (Italy) with honors in 2000. I hold an advanced degree in International and Diplomatic Studies and a Certificate in International Protocol. I have lived and studied in Italy, in New York City and New England (USA) and in Paris (France).
Credentials - I am a member of AIIC – the International Association of Conference Interpreters; a Credentialed Interpreter and associated member of ATA – American Translators Association; and a member of AMI – Associazione Milano Interpreti. My work languages are Italian, US English and French. As a trainer and conference speaker, I specialized in Netiquette for interpreters with a focus on confidentiality and I presented a research project in Geneva at #Conf1nt100.
Other Experience - Before becoming a full-time language professional, I worked in the art sector as Foreign Loans Contact Officer for a large Italian estate and museum, and before that I was the Executive Secretary of the Managing Director of the Turin Tourist Office in the years leading up to the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Specialization - I specialize in International Affairs; Art, Culture and Literature; Luxury Goods; the Film Industry and SFX.
Interpreting - I work in simultaneous and in consecutive, both in person and remotely. As an interpreter, I am used to speaking in front of large crowds, live on TV, online, and radio; I have translated Nobel laureates, Academy Awards winners and nominees, Pulitzer Prize winners, as well as world-famous names in Politics, Business and Tech.
Translation, revision, MT post-editing - I also translate in writing, mainly for international businesses, luxury brands, publishing houses, banking foundations and art institutions. Many of the translations I curated or revised, including MT post-editing projects, have been published and are available online.
Language service coordination - I also coordinate teams of interpreters for large multilingual events. That is because as a member of two of the world’s leading interpreters associations, I have developed a network of reliable colleagues to assist clients worldwide.
Solving your language-related problems is my business: I will help you find the best solution for your project or event. If you’re a seasoned LSP or an Event Manager, a Communication Specialist for a well-known international brand, the owner of a small art gallery or the founder of an energetic start-up, you don’t need experience in handling translation-related issues for a multilanguage event – that’s what I’m here for.
Let’s get in touch and I will ensure that you get the tailored top-notch professional service you deserve.
